CBIC issued Instructions regarding the consolidated list of animal feed additives/premix/ supplements for Import into India

The CBIC has issued Instruction No. 34/2022 dated December 30, 2022 regarding the consolidated list of animal feed additives/premix/ supplements for Import into India.

Reference is invited to Office Memorandum No. L-110102(2)/2/2016-Trade (E-246) dated December 21, 2022 from the Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying (DAHD) enclosing the consolidated list of certain feed additives / supplements and antibiotics to be used in animal feed.

Vide this OM, DAHD has informed about the review undertaken regarding the import of animal feed additives / premix / supplements for import into India and communicated the following:

(a) The import of animal feed additives/premix / supplements into India will be regulated strictly as per annexed list.

(b) The manufacturer will also put a label on the final pack about its ingredients and about the mandatory requirement of respective withdrawal period, if any as indicated against particular item.

(c) This order will be effective from the date of issuance of above said O.M dated December 21, 2022.

It is requested that necessary action may be taken to sensitize officers under your jurisdiction regarding the above-mentioned consolidated list of animal feed additives /premix/ supplements for Import into India.
